Competition Venue

Participants have the option to participate in these competitions at one of the following four locations:

UTAR Sungai Long Campus
Jalan Sungai Long, Bandar Sungai Long,

Rules and Regulations for Registration

(i) The competition is open to participants of all ages.

(ii) Participants have the option to compete at ONE of the following locations:

  • UTAR Sungai Long Campus
  • UTAR Kampar Campus
  • TAR UMT Penang
  • Catholic High School, Sibu, Sarawak

    (iii) A registration fee of RM10 per person applies, regardless of the number of categories chosen. Payment should be made to MMLM Public Bank account number 3137894528.

    (iv) The registration fee is WAIVED for the following groups:

    a. Children aged six (6) or under

    b. Students of primary schools, secondary schools, and institutions of higher education

    c. Senior citizens aged 60 and above

    Competition Eligibility and Prize Criteria

    1. Participants who have won first prizes in the same competition for two consecutive years are ineligible to participate for the following two years.

    2. The top scorer in the senior citizen category will be eligible for a prize, subject to a minimum of 20 participants in this category.

    3. The Best School Prize will be awarded to the school with the highest number of registered students in each competition category, provided that the school has a minimum of 20 students in that category.

     Online Registration Payment Methods

    (1) Group Registration

    Group Registration – Representing School (e.g. School/College/University) 
    The representative teacher or lecturer may download the Excel sheet here to input all participants' details. Once completed, the filled Excel template must be emailed to mmlm@utar.edu.my.
    Please download and distribute the Rules and Regulations for each category of the Mind Competitions to all participants.    
    Group Registration – NOT Representing School (e.g. Training Centre/Club)
    The representative may download the Excel sheet here to input all participants' details. Once completed, the filled Excel template, along with proof of payment, must be emailed to  mmlm@utar.edu.my .
    Please download and distribute the Rules and Regulations for each category of the Mind Competitions to all participants.    

     (2) Individual Registration

    Individual Registration – Representing School (e.g. School/College/University)
    If you are a student representing your school, college, or university, please provide accurate information about your institution. Kindly include the name and contact number of your teacher or lecturer for verification of your active student status.
    Individual Registration – NOT Representing School (e.g. Training Centre/Club, or Independant Participant)
    If you are not representing a school, college, or university, please send your proof of payment to mmlm@utar.edu.my after submitting the completed form.

    Instructions for Bank-In Slip/Receipt Submission

    i.Email the bank-in slip or receipt to mmlm@utar.edu.my.

    ii.Include the participant's name and competition categories (Memory Competition, Mind Mapping Competition, or Mental Calculation Competition) on the bank-in slip or receipt.

    Important Instructions

    i. Bring your own stationery, including pencils, pens, coloured pencils, erasers, markers, crayons, etc., for the competitions.

    ii. Arrive early on the event day. Kindly review all rules and regulations at mmlm@utar.edu.my.

    Announcement of Results

    i.Winners will be announced on mmlm.utar.edu.my on 25 August 2025.

    ii. Results will be accessible online until 30 November 2025.

    iii. Winners will receive email notifications and invitations to the award ceremony.

    Terms and Conditions

    i. All registrations must be accompanied by payment or verification from a school teacher or university/college lecturer.

    ii. Fees paid are non-refundable, but participant replacements may be allowed.

    iii. The Malaysia Mental Literacy Movement (MMLM) reserves the right to amend or modify the competition if unforeseen circumstances arise. Participants will be notified at least three days in advance.

    iv. Personal data collected will be protected in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

    v. Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of all rules, regulations, terms, and conditions, as well as the organiser’s decisions, which are final.

    vi. The judges' decisions are final, and no appeals or correspondence will be entertained.
